Shigeru Yasu has been Senior Vice President since May 2018 and director of JWPA since 2010. He founded Japan Renewable Energy Corporation (JRE) with Goldman Sachs in 2012 and became a president of the JRE, and currently he is a chairman of JRE. Previously, he worked for Kajima Corporation, one of the largest construction companies in Japan, for 30 years. From 1990 to 2000 he had been involved in large construction projects in the US including the Central Artery/Tunnel Project (CA/T), commonly known as the Big Dig. Since 2000, he has been engaged in renewable energy. He holds a MSc in Construction Management from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh PA.
