Elling holds an M.Sc. in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from NTNU (1987). He brings with him over 35 years of experience in technology leadership within the marine and technical software fields, boasting a profound expertise in digital transformations. His previous roles include CEO of DNV Software and DNV Group CIO. Since 2008, Elling has been actively involved with the Offshore wind software industry. Currently, he serves as the Senior Vice President Incubation Offshore Wind at DNV in Norway. Additionally, Elling leads the digital working group in the Norwegian offshore wind cluster, is the Chairman of FME NorthWind and IPN ImproveFlow, and the Stream lead TIMWind Foundations.
