Åslaug Haga is the CEO of Renewables Norway, a non-profit industry organisation that represents over 400 companies involved in the production, distribution, and trading of electricity in Norway. Renewables Norway is working actively to improve the regulatory framework in which member companies operate, both in Norway and in Europe. Haga is a fond advocate for the potential of floating wind in Norway and Europe. Haga has a broad background from foreign service, national politics, private sector and international organisations. She has held several ministerial cabinet positions, including as Minister for Petroleum and Energy, as well as having had diplomatic postings across the world. Before re-entering the energy sector in 2020, she held the position as Executive Director of the Global Crop Diversity Trust and Assistant Secretary General in the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
