Fumiaki Ebihara

Fumiaki EBIHARA is Special Advisor to METI and Director General of Representative Office in Europe of New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), since July 2024. He’s currently responsible for strengthening cooperation between Japan and Europe in the energy, industrial technology and environmental areas, and promoting related collaborative initiatives. 

Before the present position, as an official of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japanese government, he built diversified career in policy making of the aviation industry, SMEs and energy industry since 2007. 

His academic background is in law and public policy. He holds a bachelor degree of law from Keio University and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago.
