Magnus Korpås

Magnus Korpås is a full professor within Electricity Markets and Energy System Planning at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Department of Electric Energy. His research interests are integration of renewable energy, energy storage and optimization of zero carbon energy systems. He is former Research Director of the Energy Systems Department at SINTEF Energy Research. Currently he is vice director of strategic area Energy at NTNU, main supervisor for 8 PhD students at NTNU, and participate in FME NorthWind, FME RenewHydro, FME SecurEl, FME Integrate and NTNU Energi Transition Initiative. He is part of IEA TCP Wind Task 25/63 Design and Operation of Energy Systems with Large Amounts of Variable Generation.
