Common Winds and Shared Wins in our Floating Future

2026 has started with a surge of momentum, from the North Sea agreements in Hamburg to France’s landmark 5GW floating announcement. But as we move from high-level ambitions to steel in the water, the industry faces its ultimate stress test.

Are we truly ready for the leap from pilot projects to a global industry? While auctions are being won and leases granted, the path to first power remains cluttered with bottlenecks. In an unpredictable world, we must confront the realities of supply chain constraints, vessel availability, and bureaucratic hurdles. Can these challenges be overcome by individual nations and companies alone, or is radical cooperation the only way to secure our shared wins?
